Funding Cuts
Let’s be clear! Federal funding cuts are happening to force states to take over the funded programs. Trump has said this many times about The U.S. Department of Education and FEMA. As other federal agencies that are highly important to states are cut, the idea is that if the states want to continue to have these programs, they will pay for them, many include security.
The Results
The states are going to run out of money if they don’t increase revenue, which means raising taxes on the citizens of those states. SO, maybe the republicans aren’t raising your federal taxes, but they are forcing the states to raise taxes, The money has to come from somwhere.
